BackBarnes v City of London Real Property Co. Ltd (1918)
In this case, the tenant of the property had expressly agreed to pay the Landlord for the services of a housekeeper to clean the demise.
The landlord failed to provide the cleaning service and the court consequently held there to be a corrrelative obligation upon the Landlord.
This case confirms that where a party expressly agrees to pay for a service then the other party may obliged to provide it.
