EASTGATE ROW, CHESTER IS REJUVENATED WITH NEW LETTINGS
Eastgate Row, Chester has seen five new lettings since the beginning of the year, three of them after lockdown was announced in March 2020. The row level has been transformed with new occupiers which include Shrub Restaurant and The Art School in the two large units, with smaller lettings to Tea Islands and the Eastgate Row Café.
Shrub Restaurant opened initially for takeaways during lockdown, but since government guidelines have allowed has extended this to its full restaurant operation since the beginning of August. It is regularly fully booked and receiving excellent reviews on social media.
More recently, The Art School has opened its doors to a fantastic new concept of selling arts and crafts, together with teas and coffees. The upper floor provides a gallery and art school. This innovative idea is also receiving excellent coverage on social media.
Two of the kiosks have been let to Tea Islands, who are a specialist tea and coffee retailer, and the café, who are due to reopen their doors in the next few weeks. The other two kiosks were let at the end of last year to Goldsmith of Chester and the City Barber
All these lettings show the confidence of the landlord giving ambitious entrepreneurs an opportunity to launch new businesses in the centre of Chester. It also shows that occupiers with a good idea, belief and hard work will not be defeated by COVID-19.
