Suburban retail lettings concluded in Chester area
Despite the current working difficulties BA Commercial are pleased to confirm two recent shop lettings both concluded in late April and early May, reflecting an encouraging demand for reasonably priced units to serve the local community.
The firm have let 63-65 Boughton, Chester, CH3 5AE to a Manchester based gents hairdresser for a second outlet. The premises provides 71.7 sq m – 772 sq ft of ground floor retail with a good sized first floor of 54.8 sq m – 585 sq ft.
The building is in a prominent position on Boughton close to Waitrose and the new Moxy Hotel, and has been taken on a new lease on a staggered rental commencing at £14,000 pa and rising to £18,000 pa over the six year term.
In addition the firm have concluded a letting of a double shop unit, 4-5 at the Elton Shopping Scheme on Ince Lane, comprising ground floor units extending to 129.8 sq m – 1,410 sq ft. The premises have been taken on a new lease by John and Sarah Sanders who will develop a community cafe to complement their existing business close to Chester. A rental in line with asking terms of £13,000 pax has been agreed with rent free to enable fitting out.
