THE ROLE

To work alongside the Commercial Property Surveyor to manage a portfolio of private client-owned properties in Cheshire, North Wales and the Wirral in one of Cheshire’s leading firms of Chartered Surveyors. The successful candidate would be based in the Chester city centre office.

KEY DELIVERIES

• Work with and report directly to Commercial property surveyor and directors

• Liaise with Landlords, Tenants and solicitors

• Complete property inspections and measure for property management and professional purposes

• Liaise, instruct, and oversee contractor works

• Maintenance contract set up and tender

• Liaising with property administrators in relation to arrears recovery

• Preparing service charge budgets and reconciliation reports for clients

• Work independently

• Be highly organised

• Manage time efficiently

• Use property management software

• Highly proficient in using Excel

CANDIDATE

The candidate should ideally have a degree at a high level (minimum 2:1) preferably RICS accredited although non-cognate degrees may be considered.

The applicant should be personable and possess the ability to think laterally and problem solve. A highly motivated and focused individual is required for this role.

The role will predominantly involve assisting with commercial property and asset management and also include professional and agency work including rent reviews, lease renewals and valuations.

Should the candidate wish to enter the RICS APC program full support will be provided.

COMPANY

BA commercial is a long-established privately owned firm of Chartered Surveyors and Commercial Property Consultants. The company is predominantly involved in commercial property agency, management and professional work including rent reviews, lease renewals, building consultancy, valuations and rating.

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (40 hours) – students attending day release courses will also be considered.

Requirements: The candidate will require access to a vehicle and a full driving licence, valid to drive in the UK (mileage allowance will be paid).

Remuneration: On offer is a competitive salary commensurate to the candidates’ experience and qualifications.
